A: Please support RCN scrap the cap, nurse’s and healthcare assistant are struggling both financial and mentality through wage cuts and increases on the cost of living.
Some nursing staff can’t afford a mortgage or cars so some job vacancies are not suitable for them to apply.

A: The latest version of Labour’s policy on Brexit is something that ought to be resisted by all Labour MPs who represent constituencies that voted to Leave.
Like many Labour members, I voted to Remain, although I always disbelieved the threat of economic apocalypse from the official campaign. Given that 17 million voters, and an estimated 70% of voters in Barnsley East, voted to Leave, it is essential that Labour upholds people’s democratic choice.
The latest Brexit policy does not do this. By offering transitional membership of the SM/CU (undoubtedly with a view to permenant membership of these institutions) would leave us EU members in all but name, and without a say on EU lawmaking.
Labour’s 2017 manifesto was the strongest on the question of immigration for many years, which effectively dealt with what had been a potent electoral issue, especially in Barnsley, and this was based, de facto, on withdrawal from the SM and the end of freedom of movement. By offering continued membership of the Single Market, this would make fulfilling Labour’s promises on immigration impossible, and would unquestionably reignite immigration as an electoral issue, and further increase support for the populist right when just months ago both UKIP and the BNP looked to be dead in the water.
I hope that you will remain faithful to the manifesto on which you were elected, and will work to make Labour’s policy on immigration a reality as part of the next Labour government.

Apologies for the very lengthy response!!

A: I messaged you on FB recently, Policing, the NHS are both local and national issues. I would like to see a crack down on drugs, it is rife in the Hoyland area, probably a major influence on the high and increasing burglaries in the area.

A: I’d like you stop benefit cuts for disabled people. I appreciate this is a hard task so first please try to reduce the amount of negative press disabled people get. They are not all scroungers!
