Q: Is there anything else that you would like to tell us in relation to the bus service in Worsbrough and Ward Green?
A: How do people who work and contribute to the economy by way of paying taxes find it so difficult to get to work at a reasonable time ? Why is our bus service not run at core hours to firstly get workers and school children to go about their business at reasonable times. Bus service 67 and bus service no. 7 15 am and 7 30am then no service till 9 55am. Stage coach cherry pick bus services for profit only. My service no 7 not allowed to run at a later time so we can get to work at a reasonable time. Must also point out most retailers open 8 30am .

Q: Is there anything else that you would like to tell us in relation to the bus service in Worsbrough and Ward Green?
A: The bus service in Worsbrough Dale (our area) is almost non-existent. 67 one an hour but does not go through the estate at all. Anyone living in the estate has a lengthy walk to a bus stop. There are many elderly people who are now almost totally isolated if they are unable to afford taxis all the time. Surely this social isolation is detrimental to the well-being of elderly people.

Q: Is there anything else that you would like to tell us in relation to the bus service in Worsbrough and Ward Green?
A: Why don’t we have a bus service that covers the whole area. We have a bus that serves Worsbrough Dale, and a bus that serves Bank End and we used to have a bus that served Ward Green and Mount Vernon, but not one of them links the entire area. If I need to visit Mount Vernon then I’m forced to take 2 buses, one into town and then one to Ward Green. To visit the doctors surgery at Powell Street, Worsbrough is a 13 minute walk down one of the steepest hills in Barnsley from Bank End. Couldn’t one bus service Ward Green, Worsbrough Bridge/Dale and Bank End?
