It was a privilege to be at the unveiling of the Kes statue in Barnsley town centre today.
The statue stands in tribute to Barry Hines, the author of A Kestrel for a Knave, which inspired the film.
Kes is an incredible part of Barnsley’s culture, heritage and story.
