It is hugely welcome that the Prime Minister has committed to delivering the Hillsborough Law before the next anniversary of the tragedy.
This change will mean that public bodies are required to cooperate with investigations into major events, or else face criminal charges.
I have spoken about the need for a change to the law in Parliament, and I know that this will be welcomed by victims’ loved ones.
