The 27th September marked 200 years since the Stockton and Darlington Railway saw its first trip.

This was an incredible moment for rail travel, bringing together new feats of engineering to deliver the first ever passenger journey.

Thank you to all the local MPs and volunteers who have helped to commemorate this occasion.
