Today is #InternationalYouthDay– a chance to celebrate young people and their achievements.

As Minister for Youth and as the MP for Barnsley South, it has been great to visit lots of excellent organisations over the past year to hear about the important work that they have been doing, and to discuss the Government’s National Youth Strategy. Some of the brilliant organisations and groups I have visited include the Really NEET Project, Barnsley Youth Council, YMCA Barnsley and Chilypep, Barnsley Academy, Caudwell Youth, Girlguides and more.
This Government is determined to break down the barriers to opportunity, so that every young person, no matter where they are from, can reach their full potential.
