Today marks International Youth Day, where we recognise the qualities and contributions of young people across Barnsley, and around the world.
In Barnsley, I’ve seen the power of our young people. From meeting the Barnsley Youth Council to Chilypep. Earlier this year we saw the new Youth Zone open.
We have inspirational young people like Oliver Smith, who is raising money for the Brain Tumour Charity following his dad’s diagnosis by running another 9 marathons.
From our world-class Barnsley Youth Choir to grassroots football clubs, to groups like Barnsley Youth Council.
