I recently met with the Coalfields Regeneration Trust and representations from the BCSSS.
The Coalfields Regeneration Trust are based in Wombwell, and do fantastic work to support coalfield areas like Barnsley, supporting communities to reach their full potential.
I am proud to be part of the Labour Government who finally delivered the £1.5 billion Investment Reserve Fund to members of the Mineworkers’ Pension Scheme, and have continued to liaise with Ministers responsible for the BCSSS.
I will continue to champion the voices of miners in Parliament wherever I can.
