This morning it was a pleasure to join Rev Sarah Maughan and all the volunteers at the St Helen’s Church Good Food Pantry in Thurnscoe for their grand opening, alongside the Mayor and local councillors.
As well as the regular Monday coffee morning, the pantry will be open to anyone can drop in on a Monday between 10am and 12pm.
Food that would have otherwise have gone to waste as surplus will be offered at heavily discounted prices to local people.
