This week it was announced that buses in South Yorkshire will be back under public control from 2027! 
I welcome the decision by the Mayor of South Yorkshire Oliver Coppard along with our local councils. Supported by a £350m investment from the Labour Government.
It will mean control over routes, fares, and timetables, and of course follows the announcement that Barnsley will be giving under 18s free bus travel. Read more about this here
