This week in Parliament the Government introduced their Victims Bill, eight years after it was first promised.

Victims should be at the heart of our justice system but too often they are not.

Jackie Wileman was tragically killed by 4 men driving a stolen HGV lorry with 100 convictions between them.

I’ve been proud to campaign alongside Jackie’s brother Johnny Wood for stronger sentences for death by dangerous driving but more must be done to support victims of crime.

The law needs to be stronger and it needs to be implemented in practice so that people like Johnny receive the justice they deserve.

See Stephanie ask about this in Parliament  here.
