The new Voter ID law requires voters to bring accepted forms of Voter ID, or have a Voter Authority Certificate.
The Government’s attempts to raise awareness of this change have been simply ineffective, and there are likely to be real problems on Polling Day as voters are turned away.

Photo ID that has expired, such as a passport, will still be accepted at polling stations.
There is also some provision for emergency proxy votes up until 5pm on polling day for specific circumstances.
