The Government today stated that Hillsborough families faced “years of unforgivable institutional defensiveness” and a “web of lies spun by those seeking to protect their own reputations.”
However, they stopped short of supporting the Hillsborough Law that Labour have called for. I asked them why.
Rather than putting off action even further, Government should listen to campaigners, and finally right this historic wrong, so state power cannot be abused in such a horrific way ever again.
