Last night, the Government was defeated in the House of Commons by just four votes, and will therefore finally deliver justice for victims of the infected blood scandal.
At least 2,400 people have died so far due to contracting HIV or hepatitis C as a result of the scandal, so it is imperative that this doesn’t wait any longer.
Well done to Diana Johnson and the The Labour Party for pushing this forward. Far too many lives have been lost and I was pleased to vote to provide victims the support they deserve.
