Stephanie has recently held meetings with residents and police to discuss concerns about crime and anti-social behaviour

Over recent weeks I have held a number of meetings with local residents and the police to discuss concerns about crime and anti-social behaviour.

One of these meeting was with residents and the local policing team in Hoyland.

I know the huge impact that this is having on people and real anxiety that it is causing for local residents.

Following the meetings I have been in touch the police, Berneslai Homes and Barnsley Council to discuss action that can be taken and I would encourage residents to keep reporting incidents that take place.

I was also pleased to meet with the new Chief Superintendent of SY Police, James Abdy.

We discussed a wide range of issues from across Barnsley, including police numbers and resourcing, to local issues like speeding and anti-social behaviour.

We will be working closely and I will remain in regular contact with him and his teams to raise people’s concerns to try to ensure they get the attention they need.

If you have any issues, please do ensure that you report them to the police. I have included details below. And if you would like to speak to me about crime or anti-social behaviour in Barnsley East you can get in touch at stephanie.peacock.mp@parliament.uk.
